Cantonese Community of Precious Blood Parish
Diocese of Brooklyn-Queens

In the beginning, before the creation of the world and our immense and incomprehensible
universe, before time and space itself, God existed. We understand through His Son, Jesus
Christ, that while God is one in being, He is, in this first and greatest mystery, Father, Son and
Holy Spirit. God has one purpose in mind in creating us human being: that we may come to
know and therefore to love God with our whole being, God created us to recognize his infinite
being in all that He created. God you might say, hungers and thirsts for the love and gratitude of
every human being. It is God’s plan that we experience divine love here on earth, and beyond
this life, to live intimately together with Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, to live with all the
angels and saints, and with all of us brothers and sisters as one family and, one day, in heaven.

None of us could live and breathe if it were not for the love and mercy of God. God holds
us all in existence. St. Paul, one of our great apostles and teachers wrote: “In Him (God) we live
and breathe and have our existence.” (Acts 17:28) God did not create us and hold us in existence
and nothing. God’s plan is that we come to know and love him now and, beyond life, and enjoy
eternal love and happiness in heaven. God created us Himself. We all have an eternal soul, and
we long for love and joy that material things cannot satisfy us. All that we experience of material
joy on earth passes away. Only God’s eternal love and life last forever. God alone can satisfy our
infinite longing for love, friendship and family.

Cantonese community in the Parish, we welcome the Cantonese speaking of Brooklyn and
Queens, Staten Island and Long Island to join us in the Cantonese Mass each Sunday at 1:30

His excellence, Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio, has designated Most Precious Blood the only
Cantonese Parish in the Diocese of Brooklyn-Queens. All are welcome. Invite your family and
friends to join us for Sunday Mass, 1:30 P.M. Following Mass, we have a friendly social
gathering with dim sum. Again, come and join us. We thank God for His many favors and
blessings He bestows upon us and our families. Jesus teaches us: “Pray always, that you do not
fall into temptation.” “Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened for you”. God also
wants to answer your every prayer. Join us.

中密切地一齊生活。這是神的旨意。

如果沒有天主的愛和憐憫, 每一個人都不能存在。天主掌管我們的生存。聖保祿
是我們偉大的使徒和教師之一，他寫道：在他(天主)裏，我們活著，而神的計劃是，我們
現在就要認識並愛衪，超越生命，在天堂享受永恆的愛和幸福。天主親自創造了我們。我
們擁有永恆的靈魂，我們渴望超越物質的幸福,愛和歡樂。我們在世上經歷了物質上的歡
樂，然後離去。只有天主永恆的愛和生命，才能滿足我們對友誼和家庭的無限渴望。

Bishop DiMarzio has decided that since there are parishes in Brooklyn that already offer Mass in
Mandarin, that it is necessary to also offer Mass in Cantonese. With this in mind the Bishop has
asked Most Precious Blood parish to be the host parish for the Mass with Fr. Bennett CSSR for
our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica as celebrant.

寶血堂本堂Fr. Maduri的特別宣佈;
因在布魯克倫多區已有多個堂區用普通話舉行的中文彌撤, 所以主教狄馬素決定有需要提
供用廣東話舉行的彌撤。因此, 主教邀請寶血堂堂區主辦廣東話彌撤並由永助聖母殿堂司
鐸班達文神父主理主日聖祭彌撤。

舉行聖事的目的是讓人們聖潔, 以建立基督的肉身, 最後, 給予尊崇於天主;但要有跡
象, 它們也要有教導的功能。它不只意味著信德, 但涉及諾言和目標, 它亦有養育, 鞏
